My Near Death Experience Interview with Cara Martinisi

HOw it all began

Interview with Christine Dorsey of Heliotrope Holistic Healing

by Cara Martinisi

As a spiritual healer I firmly believe that our paths cross others at exactly the right time. Christine Dorsey, owner of Heliotrope Holistic Healing, first came across my radar on Instagram. Without knowing anything about her or what she does, I felt instantly drawn to her. Each time she popped up on my feed, my intuition blared at me to contact her. I finally listened about 6 months later. Our first meeting confirmed what I already knew. She was destined to be an integral part of my healing and growing.

Last month I sat down with Christine to learn a little more about her personally. She calls herself an energy healer and intuitive wellness consultant, yet she is more than that. In my own personal sessions, she has connected with my son Christian, who passed away at the age of six. As a channeler of his energy she has delivered some significant messages. Her ability to transmute energy blocks and shift internal energies is spectacular. Christine is a wealth of knowledge about astrology and crystals and is a beautiful soul who leads with love.

Cara: Can you tell me about how your childhood shaped who you are now?

Christine: As a child Christine says she was very quiet and kept mainly to herself. She had a lot of nightmares but that didn’t seem uncommon since nightmares is something that plagues some children more than others. When she was five and a half years old, her appendix ruptured in her home. Her hospital stay lasted 17 days at Elmhurst Hospital and 12 days in the ICU. While there she had a near death experience and began to have visions.

As she described what she saw, she comments that it is all very clear in her mind’s eye, still. Christine’s vision included paths leading downhill, with endless tulips. As a little girl they appeared to be very tall. There was also a perfect sun to the left and a man walking in front. He wore a white robe and a hemp belt.

Lending to the purity of this vision, Christine’s first thought was that his mom gave him a bad haircut. She recounts that the slope leveled out and they made their way to stand under a beautiful tree. Their eye colors matched and he had facial hair. The man held a book out to her and said, “You, too, will know this book one day”.

One may assume that this man was Jesus but after reflection on this vision, Christine felt in her heart that it was not. Many years later, a spiritual healer confirmed her intuition. During a session with Christine, she told her that her vision was of John, Christ’s cousin. Shortly thereafter Christine had her own spiritual experience, once again confirming the truth.

Cara: I can understand why that experience is so central to what you do today. How did the rest of your life unfold to lead you to become an intuitive healer since that isn’t exactly a conventional career?

Christine: In her late 20’s, before reiki gained its popularity, Christine’s sister-in-law was certified as a reiki practitioner. When her sister-in-law gave Christine reiki treatments, she and sister-in-law would have the same visions. It was at that time that Christine’s spiritual evolution began. Christine commented, “We draw from whatever we resonate with”.

In her early 30’s Christine branched out and explored her spirituality. She began communicating with archangels, actively manifesting, journalling and carrying crystals during a particularly challenging time in her life when her divorce was proceeding. She also started to find a “tribe” of like-minded spiritual friends to accompany her on this journey. Witnessing the positive aspects of opening up to her spiritual side only allowed Christine to grow further.

She obtained a position with a German biofeedback company called Ondamed. It was here that she learned about integrative medicine and energy. After attending one of many anti-aging conferences, she was introduced to an integrative weight loss company. Christine branched out to open up her own weight loss clinic featuring this particular company’s program. Part of her responsibilities were to weigh in clients and counsel them a bit. It became apparent that Christine’s consultations were offering something others could not. Her intuition and natural inclination to heal prompted clients to become upset when she was not available to weigh in and consult with them. It was in this position that Christine began to harness her true gifts.

Unfortunately, that company was sold off. Christine wanted to pursue the integrative nutrition path further, so she got certified at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. When I asked her to explain a bit more about why she was so intrigued with integrative nutrition she said, “Bio individuality is discovering the balance that works for you. If you always work on self, it ignites the domino effect”. Christine continued this path as an integrative nutrition and wellness coach, helping many along the way. She also conducted guided meditation groups. Then COVID hit.

She was once again at a crossroads of what to do. Although she enjoyed the coaching, she felt that familiar tug, alerting her that there was more to her purpose. Spirit and the Universe confirmed this when her path crossed with another gifted healer and medium, Anna Raimondi.

Raimondi guided Christine to her next step. She led her to a place called the Angel Cooperative where Christine was connected to another “tribe” several mentors including Deana Paqua. Christine became a Reiki Master through Deana’s teachings. In 2020 she also learned IET (Integrative Energy Therapy) at the advanced level through Deana and Alice Rich.

Cara: What is IET and how do you use it in your practice?

Christine: IET stands for Integrative Energy Therapy. It allows practitioners to take “the issues from the tissues”. Through summoning archangels and certain hand placements IET allows the healer to remove blocks and balance energy within the body. IET and reiki are similar, however reiki invokes stress reduction and relaxation for healing. IET takes it even further, identifying 14 specific points in the body where people hold certain emotional patterns that may be holding you back in your life.

Christine’s exceptional amalgamation of healing practices is what sets her apart from other healers. She does not follow one standard method. Rather, she takes what she has found most helpful to her clients, and what she most strongly resonates with, and uses that to help others. Her intuitive nature allows her to hone in on exactly where each client needs extra healing.

Cara: How do you use crystals in your practice?

Christine: Christine gained a lot of knowledge while going through a stressful period in her life. At a time when she was desperate to find anything that would ease the pain and stress, crystals were a tool that greatly helped her. As a result, she incorporates them in her daily life and her healing practice.

Part of her routine prior to seeing a client is to employ the grounding and protection method. She ensures that her clients are surrounded by the appropriate crystal to accentuate the energy she is working with. She sets up what she calls a healing trilogy. Client * Spirit * Conduit (Christine). This allows her to channel spirit to best serve her clients.

Cara: With anxiety running rampant these days, especially in teens, can you speak to how you help clients with this?

Christine: Teens tend to be more responsive to energy work than adults because they have not yet been hardened by the cynicism many adults have adopted. Christine is currently seeing a client who has experienced deep anxiety. This 13 year old individual began seeing dead people and as a result was unable to sleep. Healing sessions, crystals and tips from Christine have helped him to regulate his life again.

While the above is a specific type of anxiety, Christine has many clients, teens and adults, who come to her for sessions for anxiety resulting from a whole host of situations. Anxiety resides in our bodies when we have unresolved emotions that have not been processed. Christine is adept at identifying where these issues lie and shifting the energy around them. Clients, myself included, report many different outcomes after a session with Christine. Many feel more energetic, protected, and loved.

Cara: As a healer, you are constantly surrounded by a ton of different energies. How do you practice self-care on a personal level?

Christine: Each morning Christine takes quiet time for her. Again, she accesses her intuition to feel into what type of meditation is right for her that day. She listens to vibrational music, journals and surrounds herself with other like-minded beings. She makes sure to do things that bring her joy. She also receives energy healing sessions from a friend and is alert to signs from her spirit guides and angels.

Cara: What would your advice be to someone looking to enter into the healing field?

Christine: Christine has simple advice. “Go with your gut”. She advises others to get a healing session themselves to find out what type of healing they want to do. Once you have done that, build up your resources.

Given Christine’s story and background it truly is no wonder why she is as gifted as she is. Personal experience leads us down the path of purpose that is meant for us. When we drown out the noise of the external, we are able to hear what is genuinely beating in our hearts. With the help of our angels, archangels and spirit guides we can find our way much easier.

Incidentally, through this interview, Christine and I learned of even more things, experiences and people we have in common. I am certain these are my angels and spirit guides once again confirming that we are meant to be in each other’s lives.
